Le Manoir d’Avignon occupies 250 acres of an island on the Rhone River, a stones throw from the famous Papal city of Avignon in the heart of Provence. The property is covered in orchards and fields, still in active production.
The manor house and the adjacent nineteenth-century guest house were completely and luxuriously refurbished in highly refined French country style. The 1500 square foot main salon has a 40-foot ceiling and a beautiful, sweeping staircase rising to an 800 sq. ft. mezzanine, containing a wet bar with seating, an American billiard and a communications center with telephone, fax and dedicated internet.
The main house has five luxurious double bedrooms with and full bathrooms. The guesthouse has another two bedrooms. All the rooms on the ground floor as well as the mezzanine have heated floors.
The library, under the mezzanine, is a quiet place with a monumental 17th- century fireplace and a large collection of French and English books and CDs. Two-foot-thick stone walls keep the space cool, even in hot summer days. Graceful, vaulted openings provide wonderful illumination and glorious views. A corridor leads from the living room to an adjacent complex containing a winter salon, a second communications center, dining room, kitchen, and laundry area.

Rental Options:
1) Full service with English speaking chef - year round:
This option is the only rental option in June, July,August and September.
By far the best way to fully enjoy the five-star treatment we offer to our clients!
Our permanent staff of four is at the service of the guests six days a week (Sunday is off unless pre-arranged.). The chef prepares four lunches and four dinners per week on the guests' chosen days.
Based on our shopping list the client will have selected all the errands needed prior to his arrival.
On the day of arrival the client is offered a complimentary champagne cocktail party. We recommend that the clients order a dinner to be served at the Domaine on their day of arrival. Picnics can be prepared and excursions organized at the client’s request.
Breakfast is ready every day as of 8:30 am.
The two chambermaids clean the Manoir every day and serve the guests at breakfast, lunch and dinnertime.
The handyman/gardener cleans the swimming pool and the terraces every day.
2) Full service (without chef) – all year except June – September:
This option is not available from JUNE to SEPTEMBER.
Under this option the handyman and two full time chambermaids are available to serve the patrons. All the rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms of the Domaine are cleaned every day (except Sunday) and the staff sets the table and cleans the kitchen after each meal prepared by the client.
The table is set and breakfast is ready every day as of 8:30am.
