Chateau de Cassis is a well-known historic landmark on the French coast with spectacular views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the pretty village port. Set high on a cliff, the castle dates back to the 11th century, and has been converted into a luxurious home with a quiet walled garden and a heated stone swimming pool.
Located at the south of Aix en Provence, near Marseille and surrounded by dazzling white limestone cliffs, crystalline coves and vineyard hills descending directly into the sea, the village of Cassis remains a friendly, unspoiled spot on the Mediterranean. The miniature port is picturesque curve of pink, yellow and eggshell-blue houses bobbing with colorful wooden fishing boats.
A large living area of over 10,000 sq ft. encloses large reception rooms, a living room with a huge fireplace, many sofas and armchairs, a small salon with piano and both an outdoor and indoor dining room that staff can set up according to your preferences, for a quiet petit dej watching the boats in the morning or for a sumptuous banquet in the evening. The chateau is completed by a professional, fully-equipped kitchen.
PLEASE NOTE:
The property is located at the top of a cliff. Although this lends itself to stunning views, it also means the property has many steps, in some cases quite steep, and some bedrooms are not suitable to any members of your party who have any difficulty with stairs.
